This living experiment is based on doing without a car: Through the reduction of parts of the underground garage, a generous landscape design—in addition to numerous ecological measures in construction and building technology—was made possible. The longitudinal axis develops along two courtyards (Pond Court and Play Court) and is defined by koelreuterias, lindens, ash maples and willows. Lying on the lateral axis is the sunken square with climber-covered walls, as well as the gravel and youth square where Norway maples stand. The attractive offer of differing open spaces on various levels is completed by tenants’ gardens and several greened roof terraces.
