In the pedestrian zone in the city center of Munich an attractive new location for retail shops—with exclusive residential uses on the top floors—arose on the square of a former department store.

The inner courtyard unfolds as a terraced garden étagère. A front side was designed as a three-story greenhouse that is reflected in the adjacent façades.

The roof landscape is a grove of Japanese maples.
