Originally a key piece of  the Vienna International Garden Show / VIG 1964 the Rosarium became decades later a neglected site. The municipality at the beginning intended to reconstruct the original garden. After a thorough research it was decided to revitalize the Rosegarden based on a new design. Rose patterns are combined with strips of ornamental grasses. The rose selection follows a sophisticated colour concept, it does not mirror a scientific approach.

A large pergola offering shadow is planned to be realized in a second phase.
