The design for this roundabout in a rural area of Austria, realized within the program “art in public space”, refers to a defining element of Hagenbrunn's cultural landscape: the viticulture.
The arrangement of the oversized trellis on the roundabout follows a classic motif of baroque garden art - the "Patte d'oie" (goosefoot, a three-beam avenue system converging in one point). Due to the special positioning, car drivers experience shifting perspectives, while the planting creates changes in the appearance over the seasons.
